Nicholas
Stedman has integrated computers and electronics in his art practice
for more than 10 years. During this time he has made and collaborated
on sculptures, installations, and performances which have been shown
across Canada and abroad including at ISEA, Future Physical and Ars Electronica. His primary focus for the past several years has been making tactile robots.
Currently Nicholas is studying, and teaching in the media robotics lab at the University at Buffalo. Prior, he managed the studio at InterAccess
Electronic Media Arts Centre, where he developed and implemented workshops. Before that, he worked as a production associate at the Banff Centre for the Arts
helping visiting artists to create interactive artworks. He continues
to provide technical assistance to artists, and is available for
